Description
The Banded Brittle Star is a great marine aquarium scavenger that comes from Micronesia’s rubble zones. Tan markings cover the central disc, which is dark brown in color. Bands of light and dark brown coloration line the long legs. The starfish is aided in its search for food by the numerous spines on its legs.
The Banded Brittle Star likes to hide out in a well-established saltwater aquarium with a lot of live rock. It lives at night and frequently hides under rocks during the day. Around evening time, it emerges to eat garbage and little creatures. Copper-based medications are not tolerated by it.
It may be fed chopped meaty foods, frozen brine and mysis shrimp, and zooplankton in the aquarium.
