Orange Ricordea

The Orange Ricordea muchrooms are highly sought after by hobbyists for its vibrant colors, which encompass shades of blue, green, and, of course, orange. These striking colors are a primary attraction for enthusiasts. These corals boast an essentially oblong body adorned with tiny, bulbous tentacles that typically reach a diameter of 2 to 3 inches. Fascinatingly, Orange Ricordea can have multiple mouths, adding to their unique appeal.

What makes them particularly appealing to beginner aquarists is their ease of maintenance. In captivity, they tend to reproduce rapidly and can spread across rockwork, following the direction of light. Ricordea relies on light for growth, so once they inhabit your tank, it’s advisable to maintain low to moderate lighting and moderate water flow. As for their diet, zooplankton and phytoplankton are usually sufficient.

Please note that Orange Ricordea corals can display aggression towards other corals, so it’s wise to keep them separate from other coral species. These qualities make them a highly desirable addition to any saltwater aquarium, not only for their vivid and vibrant colors but also for their relatively easy care and rapid propagation.
