The Purple Sea Whip, Leptogorgia vigulata, is a vibrant, non-photosynthetic gorgonian. It thrives in moderate to high water flow conditions. With varying colors and shapes, these Sea Whips are sure to bring a splash of color to your aquarium. It’s advisable to position them in areas where algae are less likely to grow, ensuring they receive ample water flow. Their white polyps open and close at their discretion.

As filter feeders, these Gorgonians don’t rely on light for nourishment. Spot feeding is beneficial for them.
