Brittle Starfish

The Brittle Starfish is a scrounger that will take care of cleaning and feeding around evening time. They can reach a total diameter of 6 inches, but we typically sell them with a diameter of about 4 inches. They typically do not require any target feeding as they scurry about the substrate of your rocks using their arms to consume waste and leftover food. Brittle starfish tend to hide out in the crevices of your rockwork during the day because they are most active at night. After they are added to a tank, all you will probably see is an arm sticking out of the rock from time to time.
