Chalk Basslet

The Chalk Basslet exhibit carnivorous tendencies and show a preference for a diverse diet comprising live or frozen meaty sustenance like brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and krill. These fish are generally of a peaceful disposition and can coexist with other small, non-aggressive fish. However, they might exhibit territorial behavior towards members of their own species. While Chalk Basslets can thrive within reef tanks, it’s important to note that they might engage in nipping behaviors toward certain types of corals.

Renowned for their vibrant hues ranging from yellow to orange, Chalk Basslet possess distinctive chalky white markings on both their head and body. In addition to their striking appearance, they are notable for their relatively extended lifespan among smaller fish, with the ability to survive up to 5 years in captivity.
