Saddled Blenny

The Saddle Blenny is distinguished by its creamy hue, adorned with unique dark rusty red stripes along its back, resembling small saddles or inverted triangles. This striping sets it apart from its relatives, as no other species in its family displays this pattern. It features red eyes and a pointed snout. Both males and females look alike and can grow up to 3 inches in length.

This blenny is often found perched on rocks, vigilantly observing its surroundings. It favors an aquarium environment rich in live rock, where it can establish territories.

Its diet should be varied, including high-quality meaty foods, marine algae, Spirulina, and frozen Mysis shrimp. Feeding more than once a day is recommended for optimal health. For this species, an aquarium of at least 30 gallons or larger is ideal.
