Perfect for those passionate about reef aquariums, the Black Cap Basslet only poses a risk to very small invertebrates like Copepods, Isopods, or Amphipods. To ensure their optimal health, they should be kept in an aquarium of no less than 30 gallons, equipped with rocky caves for concealment. Notably, these basslets may exhibit territorial tendencies once they adapt to their environment, so it’s advisable to avoid keeping them with other basslet varieties. They prefer deeper, dimly lit waters, so an aquarium with low lighting suits them best.
